I used to be perfectly content with my plain aluminum baking sheets and carbon steel cooling racks until a few years ago when hot pink versions of both started popping up on my Instagram feed. In comparison with the bright and colorful bakeware I was seeing online, my gear suddenly looked drab and sad and dull. The kitchen had always been my happy place, and I desperately wanted my products to reflect this. So, I hopped on the Great Jones bandwagon and bought myself a present.

Normally, I would hesitate to act on an impulse borne of social media-induced jealousy, but this was a low-risk, high-reward situation. It paid off. Not only have my two Holy Sheet and Big Chill bakeware bundles held up their end of the nonstick bargain incredibly well over the past three years, they’ve also brightened my kitchen with their electric shades of blueberry and raspberry. And now that Great Jones has launched Little Chill, I can finally buy my favorite bakeware duo in miniature.

There are a lot of things to love about Little Chill. A smaller version of Big Chill, this cooling rack is made of the same nonstick and nontoxic material that made the brand famous and fits snugly inside the already popular quarter sheet pans (Little Sheets) for easy crisping, roasting, and cooling. Both products are oven-safe up to 450°F and dishwasher-friendly, although Great Jones recommends handwashing for the sake of longevity. You can shop Little Chill in four colors, including blueberry, raspberry, pepper, and broccoli, and Little Sheet in the same shades, plus mustard. While all of these attributes are great, I’m most excited about the duo’s smaller size, which is better suited to tighter kitchens or a two-person household like mine.

It seems I’m not the only one who thinks bigger isn’t always better. One shopper commented that the beautiful quarter sheet pans are “wholly necessary” and a “feast for the eyes,” while another added that they’re “just the right size” for a smaller family.
